The belief or idea that a person should be punished in the way in which he or she offended.

Meaning:

A son shows the similarities to his father in interests, behaviour, manners etc.

Meaning:

If you treat other people badly, you will eventually be treated badly by someone else.

 

9. Half a loaf is better than no bread.

Meaning:

A situation in which we must accept less than we want.

Or,

Getting less we want is better than getting nothing at all.

 

10. Two heads are better than one.

Meaning:

The result of something that we do together is better than the one done by alone.

Meaning:

If we do a small favour to others, they will become greedy and ask us to do more favours to them.

A person who does not settle in one place or job, he or she cannot deserve good.

Meaning:

One success often leads you an another success.

If you succeed in one area of your life, you will find an another area or way  of success.

 

18. Necessity is the mother of invention.

Meaning:

If you find a difficult situation or problem, you will be forced to think of a solution to it.

When something is essential for somebody, it forces him or her to find the ways to achieve it.

Meaning:

If you sow the seeds of good quality, you will deserve good from your field.

If you start something with a good action, you will achieve good. If you start with a bad action, you will not achieve good.

Meaning:

It is often best to be silent.

It is often wise not to say anything.
