Whatever we learn about grammar, we should know that we are going to be rich in a language. As a well-wisher of you, I am always with you.To-day, I have taken the topic- Tag Questions in English which contains tag question rules as well as tag question exercise. In this topic, you will find tag question definition or tag question meaning and  examples for question tag.

Let's get started-

First of all, we have to know-
What is a Tag Question?

A Tag Question is a grammatical structure in which a Declarative Sentence or an Imperative Sentence is turned into an Interrogative or Question pattern or segment.

The rules which are simple-

1.  Generally, after the first clause or part, there is a comma.

2.  After the second clause or part, there is a question mark.

3.  If one clause is in positive sense or Affirmative pattern, the other is in negative sense or Negative Pattern.

Very Important-

1. The second part or clause is  ended up with the Subject, viz nothing is written after the Subject.
Example-1.He loves me, doesn't he?

2. If the second part or clause is written in Negative Pattern or sense, contraction ( short form ) is written. But , how?
It is-
is not- isn't
are not- aren't
will not- won't
shall not- shan't
would not-wouldn't
should not- shouldn't
do not- don't
does not- doesn't
did not- didn't
can not- can't
must not- mustn't
have not- haven't
has not- hasn't

The exceptional thing-
I am honest, aren't I?

Before learning Tag, you have to learn how to make Interrogative Sentence.
